Pediatrics Care

The Herman & Walter Samuelson Children's Hospital at Sinai supports the very heart of a family-centered philosophy. From general pediatric medicine to specialized expert care, the team delivers an individualized approach focused on the entire family, working together to ensure the best care plan for their sick child. The newly-created Sinai Hospital Harry Gordon Physicians Alumni Society is named in honor of the first full-time pediatric chairman at Sinai Hospital.

The Alvin & Lois Lapidus Cancer Institute opened at Sinai in 1999. Today the institute provides some of the most sophisticated cancer treatment in the region.

Cancer Services

The Alvin & Lois Lapidus Cancer Institute at Sinai offers advanced diagnostic and treatment services for many types of cancer. With a patient-centered team approach, Sinai’s specialists also provide ancillary services (wigs, makeup, supportive devices, etc.), pain management, and emotional support. Sinai’s advanced treatment technologies include TrueBeam, Brachytherapy, Stereotactic Radiosurgery Therapies—all exceptional trailblazing therapies for a community hospital.

The Sandra and Malcolm Berman Brain & Spine Institute

To provide the best possible care for a wide range of neurological conditions, Sinai created the Sandra and Malcolm Berman Brain & Spine Institute. The Institute is the only comprehensive, integrated inpatient and outpatient neurological program in Maryland, and its Rehabilitation Center was the first in the state.

Dr. Moses Gellman, specializing in childhood orthopedics, was largely responsible for creating the Orthopedics Department at Sinai.

Orthopedics

The Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics is home to some of the world's most renowned orthopedic surgeons who provide state-of-the-art orthopedic services for children and adults. Its programs include the International Center for Limb Lengthening, the Center for Joint Preservation and Replacement, the Center for Diabetic Limb Preservation, the Center for Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery, and the Sports Medicine Institute.
